Information on the seaport of Vostochny in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation changed

In accordance with the order of Rosmorrechflot No. BT-97-r dated 10.04.2023 information on the seaport of Vostochny in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation was amended.

The adjustments are related to an increase in the number of berths in the seaport of Vostochny due to the inclusion of two berths, “Berth No. 2” and “Northern Embankment of the entrance channel of Kozmin Bay”, to the berth list. Their total length is 292 m, and these berths are intended for transshipment of containers and general cargo with a design capacity of 242 thousand tons.

The berths were built and put into operation in 1992 and were previously used for servicing fishing vessels and vessels anchorage. They are currently being converted to handle container and general cargo.

Due to the change in the number of berths in the seaport of Vostochny, the total length of the berthing wall in the seaport has also increased. Its currently length is more than 6.8 km. Indicators of the capacity of cargo terminals and the area of open warehouses in the seaport are also have changed.

The order of Rosmorrechflot simultaneously expanded the list of operators of marine terminals operating in the seaport of Vostochny.

The Far Eastern Basin Branch has 18 berths in the seaport of Vostochny, which is 56.3 % of their total number. The length of the berthing wall of the Branch berths in the seaport of Vostochny is 4 km, which is 59.1 % of the total length of the berthing wall in the seaport.

Among the total number of berths of the Branch, 17 berths have been leased to operators of marine terminals in accordance with the established procedure and one berth is used directly by the Branch.

According to the results of 4 months of 2023, almost 9.5 million tons of cargo were handled at the berths of the Branch, which is 31.5 % of the total volume of transshipment at the seaport of Vostochny.
