Employees of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Azov Directorate participated in commemorative events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Rostov-on-Don from the Nazi invaders

On February 14, 2024, employees of the  FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Azov Department took part in a solemn ceremony of laying a garland of glory and flowers at the Kumzhenskaya Roscha memorial complex dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Rostov-on-Don from the Nazi invaders.

After the laying, a patriotic action “Liberated Rostov” took place. This action was organized by the Rostov Regional Children and Youth Public Organization “Community of Children and Youth of the Don”.

Memorial and landscape complex “Kumzhenskaya Roscha” was designed under the project of architect Ruben Muradyan and sculptors Lapko brothers in 1983 in honor of the Red Army soldiers who died during the liberation of Rostov-on-Don from Nazi invaders in 1941 and 1943. The complex is located in the south-western part of the city, on the arrow of the cape formed at the confluence of the Mertvyi Donets River into the Don River. It is an object of cultural heritage of regional value.
