The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Fleet Replenishment
In July, 2016 Ligatne dump scow joined the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch fleet.
Ligatne dump scow became the third hopper barge of six vessels of the Branch dredging fleet.
Before the transfer of vessel to the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, it was used by the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovsky Basin Branch for three years for conduction of dredging works in the Azovo-Donskoy Sea Canal and Taganrog approaching canal.
The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch plans to use the vessel for disposal of soil to the established areas when conducting dredging works in the seaports of Eysk, Temryuk and Novorossiysk water areas.
Currently, Ligatne dump scow as part of Severny dredging caravan is involved in repair dredging works in the seaport of Eysk water area.
For reference:
Ligatne dump scow of R-1650M project was built in Romania in 1986. The vessel was named after the city of Ligatne located in the north of Latvia located near the river with the same name.
