RANEPA Students Make a Visit to the Seaport of Kaliningrad

During the period from 22 to 26 July in the Kaliningrad region there was held an internship of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) students enrolled in the retraining program «Executive Master of Public Policy» (government and public policy master).

The purpose of internship was to familiarize with the experience and the best practices of the Kaliningrad region in the field of public and municipal administration, as well as business projects in the region. The internship was attended by 25 students of the academy, among whom there were Ministers of the Russian Federation constituent entities, representatives of municipal governments and businessmen from Moscow, North Ossetia-Alania, Tatarstan, Samara Region, Stavropol Territory, Chuvashia, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and the Altai Territory.

As part of the program activities, RANEPA students visited the FSUE "Rosmorport" railway ferry complex in Baltiysk and got acquainted with the work of the Seaport of Kaliningrad Vessel Traffic Management System, where there was a presentation of the FSUE "Rosmorport" work for the development and maintenance of seaport infrastructure. Chief of the North-West Basin Branch Kaliningrad Department VTS Service A.G. Timofeev told the guests about the FSUE "Rosmorport" main activities and specifics of the Kaliningrad Department work, features of the Kaliningrad seaport functioning, prospects of construction of new terminals, as well as the history of creation and modernization of the seaport VTS, its main functions and objects. Students of the Academy emphasized they had been provided with comprehensive information about the work of the enterprise and the Seaport of Kaliningrad.
