The capacity of seaports has been increased by 68.2 million tons within the framework of CPMI Projects by the end of 2023

According to the results of 2023, the production capacities of Russian seaports were increased by 68.2 million tons as a result of the implementation of the measures of the federal project “Development of Seaports” of the Comprehensive Plan for the modernization and expansion of the main infrastructure for the period up to the end of 2024.

As of the end of 2023, the capacity of all 63 Russian seaports amounted to more than 1.3 billion tons.

The increase in the seaports capacity was facilitated by the completion of measures for the construction of the LNG coastal transshipment complexes in the Murmansk Region (+10.44 million tons) and the Kamchatka Territory (+10.85 million tons), a new specialized port in Sukhodol Bay to facilitate access to the port infrastructure of small and medium-sized coal mining enterprises (+4.5 million tons), a bulk cargo terminal in Taman Seaport (+25 million tons), Ust-Luga universal trading terminal (+8.6 million tons), as well as an increase in the transshipment capacity of JSC Daltransugol to 40 million tons of coal per year (+8.81 million tons).
