FSUE "Rosmorport" representatives take part in the opening of a deep-water pier in the seaport of Novorossiysk

Boris Tashimov, Deputy General Director for Project Management of FSUE "Rosmorport", and Anna Fomenko, Director of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport", took part in the ceremony of commissioning of pier No. 40A of the reconstructed KSK terminal of the seaport of Novorossiysk. The object is part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure (KPMI).

The event was attended by deputy Minister of agriculture of Russia Oksana Lut, president of the "Delo" group Sergey Shishkarev, deputy head of Rosmorrechflot Konstantin Anisimov, representatives of federal executive authorities, Evgeny Tuzinkevich, Head of FSBI "Black Sea AMP", Yevgeny Karpachev, deputy director for capital construction and repair of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport", Sergey Zaryaev, deputy director for operation of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, representatives of business structures.

Deep-water pier No. 40A was built as part of a major investment project "Reconstruction of the KSK grain terminal". FSUE "Rosmorport", under contract with JSC "KSK Grain Terminal", is performing work on the reconstruction of the water area of the seaport of Novorossiysk, the amount of dredging under the agreement is more than 218 thousand m3. It is planned to complete works under the contract before 30.09.2021.

The length of the new pier is 309 meters, and its total area is almost 7.7 thousand m3. Modern technologies were used during its construction, which allowed to increase the economic efficiency and safety of construction. The depth near the pier reached 16.9 meters, which allows to accept grain carriers with a maximum carrying capacity of up to 50 thousand tons. The coastal conveyor gallery No. 11 was modernized within the framework of the project. As a result, its length increased from 364.8 to 614.8 m, and its area - from 2880 to 4425.2 m2. In general, following implemented works, the cargo turnover of the terminal increased from 2.5 to 4 million tons per year.

During the solemn event, there was held a symbolic loading with grain of the first vessel moored at the new berth, a bulk carrier Belfuji with a deadweight of 63.5 thousand tons.
