Photo exhibition on Arbat Street in Moscow dedicated to the Day of Marine and River Fleet Workers opened

FSUE "Rosmorport" photo exhibition, dedicated to the Day of Marine and River Fleet Workers, opened in Moscow on Arbat Street.

The exhibition will take place from July 19 to August 1, 2021 and will be open for free.

The exhibit will reveal the diversity of the activities of FSUE "Rosmorport" as the leading enterprise of the industry in different regions of our country: in the Far East, in the Arctic and in the southern seas. The company has wide geography of location: it operates in 65 of 67 seaports of Russia.

The key goal of FSUE "Rosmorport" is to create a modern innovative seaport infrastructure. This will allow to improve the safety of navigation, the speed of cargo handling, as well as to increase the capacity for exporting domestic products.

FSUE "Rosmorport" operates 270 vessels of various capacities and types. The company owns the largest non-nuclear icebreaking flotilla in the world: the fleet includes 36 icebreakers and icebreaking tugs of various classes and capacities, which operate in 15 freezing seaports of Russia, annually providing pilotage assistance for more than a thousand vessels.

FSUE "Rosmorport" also owns the sailing training and scientific-production vessels Khersones, Nadezhda, Mir and Professor Khlustin. Every year, over 2 000 cadets from leading maritime universities in Russia take part in navigation practice aboard these vessels. Navigation practice helps cadets obtain the necessary swimming qualification and opens doors to the world of sailors.

Sailing boats of FSUE "Rosmorport" have won many times in prestigious sailing races and regattas. The world's fastest Russian sailing boat Mir in 2022 will go around the world with cadets and passengers on its board. The world trip will be a symbol of peace and an expression of goodwill, will contribute to the strengthening of the international authority of our state and will raise the prestige of maritime professions. The world trip is supported by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and dedicated to the celebration of World Sea Day in Russia in 2023 and the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. During the world trip, Mir will cover about 37 thousand nautical miles - it is more than 68 thousand kilometers, which is one and a half times the length of the equator.

About other records set by the vessels of the enterprise, how sailors live, what cadets and the younger generation learn, how seaports are developing today and much more you will learn at the photo exhibition.

FSUE "Rosmorport" thanks the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events for its assistance in organizing the exhibition.
