Repair dredging in the seaport of Vanino completed
On August 29, 2021, repair dredging works in the seaport of Vanino scheduled for 2021 were completed.
The works were carried out by the Vanino Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" in the operating water area of the berths No. 7 and No. 20, involving dredging fleet of the enterprise, that is: dredger Sakhalinets, dredging barges Nevskaya and Slavyanskaya of the Far Eastern Basin Branch. The tugboat Khasanets of the Vanino Branch acted as an anchor boat. A survey spread of the Far Eastern Basin Branch provided hydrographic support for repair dredging.
Dredging works were carried out in strict accordance with the design documentation for repair dredging in the water area of the seaport of Vanino, which has a positive conclusion of the state environmental expertise, approved by order of Rosprirodnadzor No. 505 as of 21.10.2019.
Extracted bottom soil was excavated into the underwater marine dump located to the north-west between Putyatin Cape and Zeleny Cape at the entrance to Sovetskaya Gavan Bay (near the existing disposal area No. 154) in accordance with the permit No. 197M as of 07.02.2020, issued by Rosprirodnadzor.
As a result of the dredging works implemented in the operating water area of the berths No. 7 and No. 20, the depths were brought up to 11.6 meters, providing a safe approach and mooring at the berths for vessels with draft in cargo up to 10.8 meters.
