Three coastal stations given to the Petropavlovsk Branch

Under Resolution No 1346 of October 30, 2017 and Resolution No 1347 of October 30, 2017 issued by Russia’s Federal Agency for State Property Management Territorial Division in Moscow, the following facilities have been assigned for FSUE “Rosmorport” and given to the Petropavlovsk Branch pursuant to FSUE “Rosmorport” Order No 492 of November 20, 2017:
a) the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station of Sea Area A2 of GMDSS (hereinafter referred to as the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station) located in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky;
b) the Ozernovsky coastal station of Sea Area A2 of GMDSS (hereinafter referred to as the Ozernovsky coastal station) located at Ozernovsky Settlement of the Ust Bolsheretsky District, Kamchatka Territory;
c) the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station of the NAVTEX service (hereinafter referred to as the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky NAVTEX coastal station).

The of equipment of coastal stations is used for:
- immediately informing the naval rescue sub-center in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky of the FSBI “The Administration of Seaports of Sakhalin, the Kurils and Kamchatka” Kamchatsky Branch about all distress signals and emergency calls and helps maintain contacts with all marine vessels during rescue operations at sea;
- exercising radio watch and radio exchange on MF in the regime of digital selective calling, radiotelephone and radiotelex;
- broadcasting radio signals of distress, urgency and security on vessels at sea;
- sending navigational and meteorological messages on vessels at sea to coastal sea areas.

The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station, which includes a communications control center, receiving and transmitting centers, was built in 2003 based on the earlier operated radio center. The coverage area of the equipment of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station is 150 nautical miles.

The Ozernovsky coastal station, which includes a communications control center, receiving and transmitting centers, was built in 2007. The coverage area of equipment of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station is 150 nautical miles.

The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky NAVTEX coastal station, which includes a communications control center, receiving and transmitting centers, was built in 2003. The coverage area of equipment of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky coastal station is 300 nautical miles.

All coastal stations remained under management of FSBI “The Fisheries and Communications Monitoring System Center” before they have been given to FSUE “Rosmorport”. At the time of the transfer of the equipment coastal stations in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky were in good state, and the state of the Ozernovsky coastal station was considered satisfactory.
