Boundaries of the seaport of Murmansk amended

By the order of the Government of Russia No. 2937-r dated 19.10.2021, the boundaries of the seaport of Murmansk were amended.

The adjustments are related to the change in the boundaries of section No. 9 of the water area of the seaport of Murmansk in order to interface with the coastline, where it is planned to build a coastal fortification intended for the subsequent installation of a floating berth for the port fleet.

The port fleet vessels that will use the berth are planned to be involved in the operation of the floating offshore transshipment complex under construction for transshipment of liquefied petroleum gas.

As part of the implementation of the project for the build-up and subsequent operation of a marine transshipment complex for transshipment of liquefied petroleum gas, the Murmansk branch of the FSUE "Rosmorport" plans to conduct pilotage of vessels proceeding for cargo handling operations to the floating marine terminal, as well as to ensure the safety of navigation using the Kola Bay VTS. In this regard, the enterprise plans to build an automated radar post in Ura Firth and integrate it into the Kola Bay VTS.

Additional information on the conditions and procedure for the provision of navigation services using the Kola Bay VTS provided by the Murmansk Branch, as well as pilotage services in the seaport of Murmansk, can be found in the section “Murmansk Branch Services”.
