Pilots of the Murmansk Branch successfully pilot a self-lifting floating rig in the seaport of Murmansk

On July 10, 2021, the pilot service of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Murmansk Branch successful piloted self-lifting floating rig (SLFR) Perro Negro 8 (flag of the Bahamas).

Using four port tug boats, specialists of the pilot service of the branch safely diverted the SLFR from berth No. 45 of the fish terminal to the raid of the seaport of Murmansk. On the raid, regular towing lines for two sea tug boats, with the help of which SLFR was towed to the exit from the Kola Bay, were connected to the rig.

The pilotage assistance was provided by pilots of the Murmansk Branch Mikhail Kosmyl, Konstantin Bogodukhov, Alexander Kulkov and Peter Moyoshnikov.

The operations to divert SLFR Perro Negro 8 from the berth to the raid, its preparation for sea towing followed by withdrawal from the seaport of Murmansk lasted 19 hours. During the course of the towing order in the Kola Bay, the signal "Special caution" was announced.

The final destination of the SLFR will be the water area of the Ob Bay of the Kara Sea, where it will be installed for the construction of an exploration well.

Previously, from June 9 to 10, the pilots of the Murmansk Branch successfully provided pilotage assistance for the unloading of this rig from the specialized submersible vessel Falcon (flag of Norway) and its subsequent towing to the berth No. 45 of the fish terminal of the seaport of Murmansk.
