Director of the Azov Basin Branch participates in a meeting on the resumption of water tourist traffic in the seaports of the Rostov Region
Director of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Azov Basin Branch Andrei Vakhrushev took part in a meeting on the resumption of tourist traffic by water transport in the seaports of the Rostov Region, which took place on October 1, 2021 as video conference chaired by the Minister of Transport of the Rostov Region Vladimir Okunev.
Andrei Vakhrushev made a report about the readiness of the port infrastructure in the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog to receive passenger vessels.
During his speech, Andrei Vakhrushev emphasized that the branch performs all the necessary work to ensure and maintain navigational limiting dimensions on the Azovo-Donskoi sea canal and the Taganrog approach channel, as well as on the Donetsky shoal of the Don River.
The safety of navigation in the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog is ensured by modern all year round navigation equipment. Since 2020, the Taganrog shore station of the NAVTEX service has been operating with a range of 240 nautical miles, designed to transmit navigational and meteorological warnings, weather forecasts and other urgent information related to the safety of navigation in the Azov Sea. Navigation control, including the use of technical means and equipment of the Gulf of Taganrog VTS, is carried out by the vessel traffic service of the Azov Basin Branch.
