Icebreaker support of vessels starts in the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog
Pursuant to Resolution No 1 issued by the captain of the seaport of Azov on January 06, 2018, Resolution No AI-01r issued by the captain of the seaport of Rostov-on-Don on January 07, 2018 and Resolution No 1 issued by the captain of the seaport of Taganrog on January 06, 2018, icebreaker support of vessels and the 2017-2018 winter navigation have been announced in the seaport of Taganrog since January 13, 2018 and in the seaports of Azov and Rostov-on-Don since January 14.
Director of the Azov Basin Branch Valery Tatkalo took part in an open session of the Basin’s committee for organizing icebreaker support of vessels in Russian seaports of the Sea of Azov and on the approaches toward them. The session was held in Rostov-on-Don on January 11, 2018 and chaired by the head of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “The Administration of Seaports of the Sea of Azov” Sergei Safonichev.
During the session, Valery Tatkalo told the participants in the session about the readiness of icebreakers and towboats for icebreaker support of vessels in the water areas of the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and in the Sea of Azov.
