Compulsory Regulations in the Seaport of Olya Amended

Ministry of Transport of Russia Order No. 352 dated 22.11.2016 introduced changes to the Compulsory Regulations approved by Ministry of Transport of Russia Order No. 222 dated 11.07.2012 in the seaport of Olya.

The regulations were updated due to the establishment of the seaport approaches borders that are designed to enhance navigation safety and to control maritime traffic in the indicated areas in accordance with Compulsory Regulations in the seaport of Olya.

The change of the place of embarkation and disembarkation of the pilots and compulsory pilotage area borders, the entry of the additional reasons for exemption from compulsory pilotage as well as the detection of free pilotage area were included into the new regulations. These measures are aimed to reduce the time of delivery of pilots to shipboards and, as a result, the waiting time for vessels pilotage.

Besides, Compulsory Regulations in the seaport of Olya were supplemented with specifications on the dimensions of ships that can be served in the seaport. Also information about seaport technical capabilities on processing of dangerous cargoes was amended
