On January 19, 2016 Governor of the Astrakhan region Aleksandr Zhilkin accompanied by officials paid a working visit to the FSUE “Rosmorport” Astrakhan Branch and FSBI “Administration of seaports of the Caspian Sea”.

During the visit Aleksandr Zhilkin met with Interim Director of the Astrakhan Branch Vladimir Gudkov and Head of FSBI “Administration of seaports of the Caspian Sea” Magomed Abdulatipov.

At the meeting there were discussed issues of ensuring navigation safety during the period of winter navigation of 2015-2016 and organization of icebreaker escort of vessels in the water areas of the seaports of Astrakhan and Olya and on the Volga-Caspian Marine Shipping Canal.

Aleksandr Zhilkin also boarded Kapitan Chechkin icebreaker of the Astrakhan Branch, where he examined the wheelhouse of the ship and got acquainted with the work of its key steering systems.
