On 17 October 2014 the Astrakhan Branch organized an excursion on board of “Kapitan Bukaev” ice-breaker for the students of faculty of navigation of Caspian Institute of Sea & River Transport, branch of the state-financed educational institution of higher professional education “Volga State Academy of Water Transport”.

The present event aims at raising interest of the students for they profession they have chosen and motivating them to further work in the field of marine transport.

The master of the ship Roman Orlov presented technical characteristics and peculiarities of the ice-breaker to the students, showed operation of navigating bridge equipment, and also told them about work specifics of the Astrakhan Branch ice-breaker fleet.

Within the program of excursion the head of HR department of the Astrakhan Branch Larisa Arhipova presented to the students the FSUE “Rosmorport” statutory goals and objective and the main lines of activities of the Arkhangelsk Branch in the sphere of comprehensive services on navigation safety provision in seaports Astrakhan and Olya, as well as in the Volgo-Caspian marine navigation canal.

In the end of the excursion the students asked representatives of the Astrakhan Branch if they could pass their practical training in the Astrakhan Branch in 2015 in order to obtain practical knowledge and skills on marine vessels facilities and operation.
