Release of the Brown Trout Fry Into the River Onega

The fry was released near the Porog village, Onezhsky district of the Arkhangelsk region, where the fingerlings had been delivered by special transport.

The brown trout fry released into the river had been breeded by a specialized fish-breeding organization for the Archangelsk Branch in order to implement environmental protection measures aiming to compensate for the damage to acquatic bioresources caused by repair dredging works in the seaports of Arkhangelsk and Onega in 2014.

The expenditure  of the Arkhangelsk Branch on breeding and release of the brown trout fry into the Volga river this year has amounted to more than 3 million rubles.
