FSUE “Rosmorport” presents a photo exhibition at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

FSUE “Rosmorport” presents its achievements and advanced projects in the format of a photo exhibition at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which takes place from June 5 to 8 at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center.

Colorful photo canvases of the enterprise displayed in Pavilion G of the exhibition center show forum visitors the results of work of many thousands of employees of the enterprise.

The exhibition presents illustrations demonstrating strategically significant projects for the development of port infrastructure, shots of the FSUE “Rosmorport” vessels which are part of the enterprise’s service and auxiliary fleet, the largest one in the country, with the total number of about 270 units. The icebreaking fleet of FSUE “Rosmorport” alone consists of 34 vessels and is the largest one in the world.

The enterprise is also proud of the country's largest dredging fleet numbering 42 vessels. It provides dredging operations to achieve the navigation parameters of the waters of seaports. The operations on the Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal in 2023, the most extensive in recent decades, became the most important event in this field. The work was carried out by FSUE “Rosmorport” at the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as a result of which a 4.5 m draft was achieved on the canal.

The exhibition is focused on the achievements of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch, which is located in St. Petersburg. Visitors of the exhibition will be able to see the flagship of the icebreaking flotilla of the enterprise – the world's most powerful non-nuclear icebreaker Viktor Chernomyrdin, which is part of the branch's fleet, as well as two innovative automobile and railway eco-ferries Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky, capable of operating on both LNG and low-sulfur diesel fuel, designed to ensure transport accessibility of the Kaliningrad region. These are the first marine vessels in the country to receive Certificates of Maritime Autonomous and Remotely Operated Surface Vessels (MANS); they have been operating in autonomous mode since 2023. To ensure the remote control of vessels, a Remote Control Center has been established in St. Petersburg, which allows monitoring the surrounding navigation situation and the main parameters of ferry traffic, as well as remote control of vessels on the high seas.

FSUE “Rosmorport” regularly organizes expositions that are of great interest to visitors. Earlier, the enterprise presented photo exhibition at the Maritime Congress – Far East, which was held on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok with the support of FSUE “Rosmorport” and other major state industry companies from May 30 to 31. Photographs illustrating the main activities of the enterprise with an emphasis on Far Eastern projects were displayed in the lounge area where the congress participants were negotiating.
